Words Have Power

Master Keys: Beginning at the Beginning

“There is a world within – a world of thought and feeling and power: of light and life and beauty and, although invisible, its forces are mighty.”

Charles Haanel

There is so much to understand and think about in the first part of the Master Keys System, and the idea there is but one consciousness occupying all of space and time (“Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Consciousness”) is the one that led me down a meandering pathway of thought.

Ultimately in trying to understand it and bring clarity to my mind, I had to write about it.

If there is just one consciousness that occupies ALL, then my logical and rational mind says we must be part of it, and identical to it (the “White” part of my personality coming through here). Everything is manifested through this Universal Mind, which is also pure potential. The potential static energy of the universal mind can only be manifested into dynamic energy by the individual mind, through its connection with the Universal mind.

How empowering is that!

But if we’re all identical to and part of the universal mind, how come we’re all so different in what we manifest into our lives?

Aha – it’s that “world within”

We become individualized by how and what we think. Each thought is an individual and vibrating force.

Each of us thinks thousands of thoughts each day, and those thoughts become our reality. But every individual has dominating thoughts based on accumulated habits and past deeds – which are ruled by our prejudices, by love, fear, greed, appetites, passions and our environment.

Master Keys Experience

So it follows that what each of us manifests is subjective – based on our own world within – and our results in life vary. Harmony within will result in harmony without. Fear and lack thoughts within will result in a fearful life of lack.

It is by understanding this that we can begin to make the changes we desire in our lives. It is time to start chipping away some of my limiting beliefs, old hurts, past regrets and remember how I came into this world – naked, without labels, and pure of heart and mind.

Taking the self-assessment test was my first step on this week’s to-do list. Do any of us really see ourselves as we truly are? So many ‘sometimes’ answers!

Mark has added Og Mandino’s “The Greatest Salesman in the World” as required reading in this Master Keys course. I find reading this first scroll daily has added much understanding. How congruent the thoughts are!

The third step for this week’s Master Keys course was in working on the first draft of my DMP – my Definite Main Purpose.  What exactly, right down to the tiniest details, is is that I want to create for and in my life?

It’s time to give up procrastination and do some of the actions that seem to always take a back seat to the ‘urgent’.

Time to dream bigger, and produce some positive changes in my life.

Stephen Pressfield, in his book, The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles” emphasizes – with wry humour – the resolve needed to recognize and overcome the obstacles that face any person who’s attempting to create – whether it’s a book, a painting, a slimmer body, or a life of purpose and meaning.  This one sits on my bedside table, ready to buck me up when the dragons of procrastination come calling!

All of this to say, I have written the initial draft of my DMP and submitted it.

I’m reading it, as Mark says, “with great gusto” three times a day.

Thanks, Julia! Also I’m anticipating reading more of your posts. It was so great to connect with you in Kauai, and I treasure the fun we had cruising the backroads with a car full of funny, friendly and like-minded new friends.
